The City of St. John''s is pleased to share highlights from the latest update on its Resilient St. John''s Community Climate Plan.
View DetailsThe plan identifies opportunities to expand existing industries in the community, new opportunities for businesses and employment, and meaningful ways to address energy poverty within the city. On June 24, 2025, the City of St. John's shared a community update on progress made on the plan from 2022-2024.
The City may be able to assist these efforts by: generally keeping communication channels open and transparent. The Energy Transition will not only save money on household and business energy costs, it will also create many local economic development opportunities for St. John's.
This SRM does not address new policy actions, nor does it specify budgets and resources for future activities. This Energy Storage SRM responds to the Energy Storage Strategic Plan periodic update requirement of the Better Energy Storage Technology (BEST) section of the Energy Policy Act of 2020 (42 U.S.C. § 17232 (b) (5)).
